CS2–IISER Bhopal hosted participants of FDP NC-MP-113 on “Semiconductor Science & Technology” (NITTTR Bhopal) on 25 March 2026. The visit featured an institute overview and EECS lab tours led by Dr. Santanu Talukder, offering a glimpse into IISER Bhopal’s research ecosystem.

CS2–IISER Bhopal hosted students & faculty from LNCT Bhopal on 23 March 2026 for a Scientific Exposure Visit. Participants explored our research ecosystem through an intro session, an insightful EECS talk, and lab tours—aimed at inspiring future researchers & innovators.

The One-Week Residential FDP on “Modern Characterization Techniques for Molecular & Nano Materials” was successfully conducted at MMTTC–IISER Bhopal (Mar 09–14, 2026) with expert lectures and hands-on sessions on advanced characterization techniques.

Students and faculty from Sagar Institute of Pharmacy and Technology, Bhopal visited IISER Bhopal on March 16, 2026 under a CS2 outreach activity. The group explored the Biology UG Lab, and attended an insightful talk by Dr. Preeti Chandurkar on research opportunities in science.

𝗢𝗻𝗲-𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗹 The UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at the Centre for Science and Society (CS²), IISER Bhopal, inaugurated the One-Week Residential Faculty Development Programme on “𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 & 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀” being held from March 9–14, 2026. The programme began with 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗿, 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗠𝗠𝗧𝗧𝗖, 𝗜𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗹, presenting an overview of 𝗠𝗠𝗧𝗧𝗖–𝗜𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗹 and the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗖𝗦𝟮), highlighting their role in strengthening academic excellence and capacity building among educators. The inaugural address was delivered by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗚𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘀, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗜𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗹, who encouraged participants to engage in active learning and exchange of ideas. Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, he motivated them to use the knowledge gained from the programme to contribute to nation-building. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘆: • 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. The 𝐕𝐢𝐠𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐡𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦, 𝐈𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐥, visited 𝗣𝗠 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝘆𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭, 𝗖𝗵𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗮, to observe an exciting learning unit which was conducted by a school teacher with Class 9 students on “𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐬.” Students explored how graphs can describe motion quantitatively, moving beyond textbooks to real-life understanding. By running, measuring distances, recording time, and plotting their own graphs, learning became active, engaging, and meaningful. This hands-on approach helped students connect concepts to experience—turning motion into data and data into understanding. The Vigyan Pratibha Team, IISER Bhopal visited Govt. Middle School, Bhauri, engaging Class 8 students in the VP learning unit “Pinhole Camera”. Through interactive, hands-on activities, students created their own pinhole cameras and explored the principles of image formation.
