When I recruited Abdul, I called or texted him every single day. The relationship was built on trust and the understanding that we cared more about each other as people, than we did about anything related to basketball. I say this because, most of y’all have no idea what he’s been through. Most of y’all have no idea how hard he works. Most of y’all have no idea how badly he wants to win. I do know. I see it every single day. And if you knew what I knew, there’d be no reason for you to not be in his corner. This is just a number on a list, but it represents a lot more than that. And trust me, he’s not satisfied one bit. Congrats, Abdul.
