@CSBilleter …would lie with whoever caused the accident, should one occur. And the vast majority of the time, accidents involving city buses are not the fault of the highly-trained, CDL-certified bus drivers. If the driver caused the accident, they’d be at fault, and vice versa.

Better Bus also means better bus shelters. We changed the way we do bus shelters so we can do them for significantly less cost, get more shelters completed & have them done faster. Team is focused on all elements to improve the customer experience.

@CSBilleter That could’ve just been a standby driver who fills in wherever they’re needed and could be deployed onto any route at a moment’s notice. I doubt every driver knows every single route in the DMV, so they may need directions on an unfamiliar one. Not the end of the world, really.

@wmata I can provide all of that information but you’ve clearly missed the point - there are still major gaps that create service issues. New routes and new bus shelters don’t address those things.

Quite large #nokings crowds starting all the way up Connecticut at Kalorama. Photo doesn’t do justice, it’s both sides of streets and more people coming, chanting and lots of honking and this is just an appetizer. ✊
