Currently, preparations are underway for the inspection and handover of 8 office buildings and 5 residential buildings, ensuring the project’s full completion. Rising from the heart of the desert, this prominent urban landmark reflects the joint efforts and cooperation between Egypt and China.

🏗On the banks of the Nile, rising above the golden desert sands, Egypt’s New Capital CBD project is taking shape. Egyptian and Chinese employees are working side by side to complete the final finishing works of the Iconic Tower and the Crescent Tower, paying attention to every detail and maintaining safety standards throughout all construction stages to ensure the smooth and high-quality delivery of the project. Every brick tells a story of craftsmanship and precision, while every detail helps build the city of the future.

Let’s meet Nourhan Amin, an interior architect at Egypt’s New Capital CBD project. Nourhan has dreamed of becoming an engineer since childhood. Through the ‘Up We Build Program”, she participated in green design research and working closely with her team, successfully integrated sustainable development concepts and green building technologies into the heart of this urban city. From chasing dreams to contributing to major construction projects, her expertise and ongoing passion have played a key role in bringing the New Capital to life.

Let’s meet Chinese employee Yang Guo Xing and Egyptian employee Sayed, the team responsible for logistics at the Alamein Downtown Towers project. Two years ago, Yang was an electrician who spoke only a few words of Arabic, while Sayed relied on gestures to complete tasks. Today, Sayed can carry out maintenance work independently and communicate with colleagues using simple Chinese phrases. In the heart of the desert, their spirit of harmony has grown through daily work, and the trust between them has strengthened over time.

At the Alamein Downtown Towers project, a special Chinese–Egyptian mentor–apprentice duo is making an impact. Zhang Qinglong, a Chinese commercial manager, breaks down complex contract terms into clear charts, adding precise Arabic notes to share his expertise step by step. His apprentice, Shaaban, an eager and curious young Egyptian, has grown through this hands-on guidance into an independent international procurement professional. Deep in the desert, skills take root through mentorship, and friendships grow through collaboration.

During the holy month of Ramadan, CSCEC Egypt organized a series of Ramadan events under the theme “Ramadan Brings Us Together… Iftar Tables in a Spirit of Togetherness” across its projects in the New Capital and New Alamein City. The events included the distribution of thousands of Ramadan gifts to Egyptian employees, alongside hosting Iftar gatherings that brought CSCECers together in a joyful and uplifting atmosphere. A warm sense of friendliness and harmony filled the venues, as attendees gathered around the Iftar tables, sharing meals and exchanging heartfelt greetings and well wishes. A Ramadan gift and a shared Iftar meal… were more than just gestures—they carried a sincere message of care, respect, and mutual appreciation.

As the crescent of Eid al-Fitr appears, cherished moments of reunion and happiness are celebrated, with family and friends coming together to enjoy delicious food, exchange heartfelt greetings, and share feelings of joy and gratitude during this year. Let’s meet Mohamed, an administrative officer and the experienced hand of the Alamein Downtown Towers project. For the past four years, Mohamed has managed car coordination and material procurement. He has also acted as a bridge between cultures, carefully sharing habits and values between Egyptian and Chinese employees. These small but important details have helped build harmony and trust between the Egyptian and Chinese teams. From the desert sands to the rising city of Alamein, Mohamed is a central link in the team and one of the most dedicated and supportive employees, witnessing the project’s progress.

Recently, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and her delegation visited the Alamein Downtown Towers and the Crystal Lagoons projects. During the visit, the delegation inspected the construction site, reviewed the planning and progress of each project, and praised the quality and execution of CSCEC Egypt. Upon completion, this coastal area will transform into an urban city integrating residential buildings with commercial and tourist facilities, supporting the development of Egypt’s North Coast.

Recently, CSCEC Egypt organized a special event for Egyptian and Chinese female employees under the theme “Women’s Flourishing in Egypt-China Friendship” in celebration of International Women’s Day. The employees took part in a dialogue session to share experiences, a flower-arranging activity, and visited Cairo Tower to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. They celebrated this special day in a joyful and lively atmosphere, strengthening the spirit of friendship between Egypt and China.

At the CBD project, we celebrated International Women’s Day together with our Chinese and Egyptian colleagues. Through shared conversations, a flower-arranging DIY activity, and a visit to the Cairo Tower, we spent a warm and memorable day together.
