I wanted to make a video on this topic as I find it intriguing how both Will and Mariah have suffered from the same setbacks in their careers in regard to critical/fan reception being negative or lukewarm. I likely will at some point even if nobody but me understands.

@ligaya__05 Yeah, that's also what I wanted to touch on. I feel like MADLO suffered from what Glitter suffered from (being ahead of the curve sonically and a big shift from older work). Glitter would later on be considered just too early to the disco revival

@ligaya__05 EXACTLY, This was one of the points I had written for the script of the video. Also, the consistent comparisions to their past work (which set a bar neither of them could clear. With Mariah, it was her vocals, and with Will, it was songwriting.)

Before I get jumped, I love MADLO, and I liked The Scholars. It's just that CSH is at a similar point where Mariah was in terms of critical reception. Glitter was received extremely poorly (her MADLO), and Charmbracelet was considered mediocre (I disagree, but I digress).
