👋 Meet Sylvia Yazbeck, BSc Pharm, RPh, BCPS. As a Clinical Pharmacist in the Women’s and Newborn Health Program at IWK Health, Sylvia plays an essential role in supporting obstetric and gynecologic care. Since joining the IWK in 2007, she has expanded the pharmacist’s clinical impact, contributed to multidisciplinary committees, and supported learners through precepting and educational sessions for pharmacy, medical, and interprofessional trainees. Early in her career, Sylvia recognized that medication use in pregnancy and lactation is often understudied, making collaboration and shared knowledge even more important. This insight inspired her to strengthen community connections and support pharmacists working in this specialty. Sylvia now serves as Chair of CSHP’s Obstetrics & Gynecology Community, where she helps colleagues share expertise, collaborate on medication policies, and navigate these unique clinical challenges. She places great value on this network, sharing that through CSHP she was “introduced to members with similar practices and was able to collaborate with them on professional development initiatives and updates to medication policies.” With her work, Sylvia illustrates how #PharmacyCan be anywhere healthcare happens, supporting stronger, safer medication practices for pregnant individuals, new parents, and their babies.

👋 Meet Kirsten Tangedal, BSP ACPR MHSc CHE Kirsten is a Manager of Pharmacy Practice with the Saskatchewan Health Authority whose work combines high-quality patient care with environmental sustainability and stewardship. As a champion for planetary health, Kirsten works to advance sustainable pharmacy practice through education, collaboration, and system‑level leadership. Her national work through CAPhE complements her role as Chair of CSHP’s Planetary Health Community, where she helps drive momentum on environmental responsibility. She leads national conversations by connecting colleagues to share emerging evidence and practical strategies for sustainable care. “Being a part of the planetary health community of practice is important to me as not only am I interested in the impact of planetary health on health care, this also connects me with individuals with similar interests and allows me to stay in touch with a quickly evolving area of evidence. 👋 Meet Anna Lee BScPhm, PharmD. As a Senior Advisor in the Infectious Diseases program at Ontario Health, Anna supports provincial stewardship efforts, drawing on her clinical experience as an antimicrobial stewardship pharmacotherapy specialist and her broad background in hospital pharmacy and pharmacy management. With deep roots in ID/ASP, Anna has contributed meaningfully through clinical practice, system‑level leadership, and teaching learners across disciplines. Today, she continues that impact as Chair of CSHP’s Infectious Diseases / Antimicrobial Stewardship Community. In this role, Anna helps create an environment where pharmacy professionals can exchange insights, problem‑solve together, and build collective strength in stewardship practice. This collaborative space empowers both her colleagues and herself to advance their work with shared purpose. “The ID/ASP community of practice has also created opportunities for shared learning and reinforced the value of collective problem-solving.
