Outage update - a wire sagging due to the heat and load made contact with another wire, causing the outage. Field crews are working on a plan to switch power around to restore it as soon as they can. We will provide more info when we have it from the field.

@SantaClaraPower There is still an outage on Monroe Street between El Camino and Scott Blvd. What is the Estimated Time to restore this area?

At 6:06pm, power was restored to the remaining 1,422 customers affected by the outage due to a lightning strike at a substation. We still have 3 pole top transformer outages remaining.

For over 60 years Fire Station 4 has shared a fence with ‘Tony’ a long time Santa Clara resident. He’s adopted the firefighters there as much as they have adopted him as a close friend and neighbor. Other Fire stations can share similar stories but there’s only one ‘ Tony’!
