The speakers discussed the viability of the one-third representation for Sabah and Sarawak in light of justice, equitable governance and state-federal relations within the Federation of Malaysia.

This roundtable served as a platform for dialogue among key stakeholders including policymakers, constitutional experts and civil society representatives on the issue of one-third parliamentary representation for Sabah and Sarawak based on the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

On 25 June 2025, CSO Platform for Reform in collaboration with the Malaysian Bar, organised a Roundtable Discussion on Rights, Equality and MA63: Restoring One-Third Parliamentary Representation for Sabah & Sarawak, held at the Wisma Badan Peguam Malaysia.

The session began with a keynote address by YB Datuk Hajah Sharifah Hasidah Bt. Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations)
