🌟 Julie Haugh – Vice Principal, Regent House School 🌟 We’re closing our inaugural #Lead10 event with the final presentation from our group of 10 outstanding leaders from Controlled Schools — a space created to celebrate innovative practice, spark fresh thinking, and strengthen collaboration across the sector. Each of these leaders brought insight, passion, and an unwavering commitment to delivering the very best for children and young people. In her presentation on Student Leadership, Julie shares how Regent House School has evolved from a traditional student council into a dynamic Student Leadership Team, and has further expanded this model to include a Student Bereavement Team — empowering young people to lead, support, and shape their school community. 🎥 Watch Julie’s presentation here: ow.ly/tjXY50YwKri #ControlledSchoolsUnit | #CSU | @CSSC_NI | @RegentHouseSch

🌟 Leadership in Action at Stranmillis Primary School 🌟 At #Lead10, we were inspired by Linda Wilson, Principal of Stranmillis Primary School, who delivered her presentation: “Leading Through Change at Stranmillis Primary School.” With 418 primary pupils and 52 nursery pupils, Linda faced a major challenge: within just four years, nine teachers were due to retire. Recognising the scale of change ahead, she prioritised staff development, collaboration, and long term succession planning to secure the school’s future. Stranmillis is a highly diverse community, and Linda’s leadership approach ensures every child continues to thrive through stability, innovation, and shared professional growth. Linda was one of 10 outstanding leaders selected for CSU’s inaugural #Lead10 event — a space designed to celebrate innovative practice, spark new thinking, and deepen collaboration across the sector. Every leader brought passion, insight, and a commitment to delivering the very best for children and young people. 🎥 Watch Linda’s highlight presentation here: ow.ly/NOBB50YwJHr #ControlledSchoolsUnit | #CSU | @CSSC_NI
