"It shows that early aircraft losses, which dominated international coverage, were only one part of a larger campaign that unfolded very differently over time and ended with the Pakistan Air Force outmatched, India establishing air superiority over significant portions of Pakistani airspace, and conducting precision strikes across the depth of Pakistan."

You might see the government is suddenly obsessed with getting a gas pipe into your kitchen (PNG) instead of just delivering a cylinder (LPG). It actually comes down to a massive math problem we are trying to solve. Most people think gas is just gas but they’re actually totally different chemicals. LPG is the stuff in the red cylinders (propane & butane) and is basically a scrap product. When we refine crude oil to make petrol and diesel, we only get a tiny sliver of LPG (about 3%). Even though India has world-class refineries, we just can’t squeeze enough LPG out of a barrel of oil to feed 33 crore households. This forces us to import a staggering 60% of our LPG, mostly from the Middle East. If a war breaks out or a shipping lane like the Strait of Hormuz gets blocked, those cylinders stop showing up at your door as usual. Natural Gas (which is then sent as PNG), on the other hand, is a primary fuel (mostly methane). We actually have plenty of it sitting in our own ground in India. While we still import some, we aren't nearly as dependent on the Middle East for it as we are for LPG. By moving city folks onto pipelines, the government is essentially freeing up the limited supply of cylinders for rural villages where you can't easily dig pipes. It’s a huge logistical reshuffle to make sure a crisis in West Asia doesn't leave the masses unable to cook. There's also another angle here. Countries like the US and Qatar don't even need refineries to get LPG, they just suck it straight out of massive "wet" gas wells. India doesn't have those specific types of wells. So, for us to keep using LPG, we have to keep buying expensive crude oil and hoping the 3% we get as a by-product is enough. Over the long term, in hindsight, it was a losing game. Indian bureaucracy should have envisaged this and prepared in advance, esp. when Ujjwala Scheme more than doubled the number of LPG connections to ~32cr. That was a strategic mistake. Switching to PNG is basically India’s way of saying that let's stop relying on a byproduct that we lack domestically and start using the methane (natural gas) we actually produce at home. It’s safer, it’s underground (so it's harder to disrupt during a war), and it keeps the supply chain running even when global oil prices go crazy. For an average person, it’s the difference between waiting for a truck that might not come and having a tap that never runs dry.

In the Gambhir era, the maximum a batsman can reach is 97. If a batsman reaches 100, he must apologise, fall on his knees preferably on his own wicket and exit immediately in deep shame.

In India, you have to be corrupt to work peacefully. If you aren't corrupt, you will be publicly humiliated and then transferred. Oh, and your life will be in danger too. So you have to be corrupt to survive. He completed his early education from a government school, and after passing class 12, he received a scholarship and graduated from the Tata Institute. Rinku Singh appeared for the UPSC CSE exams under the disabled quota and secured 683rd rank in 2021 in his 16th attempt. An IAS Officer in Uttar Pradesh, Rinku Singh Rahi, was transferred just 36 hours after his posting, where he took charge as sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) in Shahjahanpur's Powayan. His crime? For cancelling two unpublicised land auctions. He was forced to hold his ears and do sit-ups, after which he was transferred by the government. The land auctions were scheduled without any public announcement. That prevented a fair bidding. Rahi felt that the auction process should have been more transparent, and hence, he cancelled the auctions. And then, he was transferred because he didn't allow the auctions to be held in an unfair manner. This is the same Rinku Singh Rahi who took 7 bullets on his body when he exposed a scholarship scam worth 100 crore rupees in Muzaffarpur back in 2009. That led to an attack on him by local gangsters, who shot him seven times, leaving him with a disfigured face, a damaged jaw and one eye blinded.

2003 - Satyendra Dubey, IIT Kanpur grad, wrote to PM Vajpayee exposing corruption in the Golden Quadrilateral project. Begged to keep his name secret. Shot dead on his 30th birthday. 2004 - Manjunath Shanmugam, IIM Lucknow grad, sealed a petrol pump selling adulterated fuel under PM Manmohan Singh’s govt. 6 bullets. Dead at 27. 2005 - Narendra Kumar, IPS officer, seized illegal mining trucks in MP under CM Shivraj Chouhan. Crushed under a tractor. Dead at 30. His IAS wife was pregnant. After these deaths, Parliament passed the Whistleblower Protection Act in 2014. It has NEVER been activated. 12 years. Not a single day. PM Modi’s govt said it needs amendments. Then introduced amendments in 2015 that actually gutted the law, making it illegal to expose corruption if it touches the Official Secrets Act. That bill failed and lapsed. Govt said okay, original Act is fine then. Still didn’t activate it. 100+ RTI activists killed since 2014. No party is innocent. Modi’s govt has sat on the protection law for a decade.

A shocking video has surfaced from the Mangalwar Peth Metro Station area, near the RTO, showing dozens of bikers openly riding on the footpath to bypass traffic. Pedestrians were forced to step aside as motorcycles continuously streamed through the designated walking area. This blatant disregard for traffic laws and pedestrian safety has sparked outrage among local residents, who are now calling for the installation of bollards and stricter police enforcement in the area. The incident highlights the growing menace of footpath encroachments by two-wheelers in the city's busiest zones. #Mangalwarpeth #pune #viral #footpath #latestnews

I have seen so many heartbreaking videos of students crying and wailing because they were not allowed to enter the exam center for being just one minute late. One minute. That’s it. why can’t there be a grace period of a few minutes? Is it really fair to destroy an entire year of hard work, and possibly a student’s future, over such a small delay? What on earth will actually go wrong if a late student is allowed in? At the same time, Students should know how important these exams are. They should plan better, think of traffic, delays, and reach early. This exam can decide their career so shouldn’t they treat it with that seriousness Still, rules without humanity feel cruel. Discipline matters, yes but where is the compassion? When students are breaking down at the gate, it’s not just about rules anymore. It’s about empathy, balance, and common sense. There has to be a better middle ground.
