Safe Place and the Cross Cultural Leadership Center are looking for poetry submissions for our Poetry Night. We are welcoming all to submit pieces related to healthy relationships, healthy love, healing, self care and empowerment. Pieces can be poetry, prose or music. 🥰

PSA for people in Chico - One of my friends was raped by their Uber driver last night and was found an hour after she was due home, 2 blocks away in the Uber car still being raped. The driver said it was consensual but the girl was so drunk she didn’t know what was happening.

We are accepting poem entries for the Flower on the Creek event that will be on the 15th of October! Submissions are due Oct. 8th. Send them in via email - safeplace@csuchico.edu or come into SSC 180 and submit it to the front desk. See you there!

This Wednesday and Thursday, come by BMU 203 and decorate shirts for the Clothesline project! The Clothesline Project is done to educate students and the community that violence is a problem everywhere, help is available, there is hope and a path to healing.
