Reminder that a Monday Q changed Cam Young’s life. Had no status, Monday Q’d into a KFT event in Nebraska, finished 11th, got him into next event, finished 14th that week, earned another start, finished 6th, earned another week, finished 2nd, earned membership and has never looked back. Now a Players Champion. It all started at a Monday Q in Nebraska.

After last years wind, this seems correct. Southern Highlands just 2 weeks away. (Also, a likely #1 vs #2 showdown between Virginia and Auburn, with 13 other teams wanting to make a statement. Host UNLV defending champs).

@AgoraGolf At what point of scoring does a students personal cell phone become a necessary piece of athletic equipment, which should therefore be supplied by the university? Is the cell phone also a distraction? Are tour players looking at their cell phones during a round of golf?

Look, we all know college players do not enjoy entering scores during an event. But, when only 1 group isn't doing it... it kind of ruins the 5 and half hours of refreshing. Now, I don't know Raul, but I have a hard time believing Edan, Tommy or Josiah can't enter scores.

My highest lofted club is a 54°, I’ve tried carrying a 60° but I get trouble over using it. Am I missing not having a lob wedge? Keep in mind my practice time is limited.

The things you don’t see: For the 10 days I was in the Bahamas 4 times the same player was the last person off the range. The number of people he beat in the first round at Atlantis? Zero. Was 16 strokes worse than the leader that day. Sixteen. Missed the cut by miles despite shooting -3 the second day. I was walking on the course during the 3rd round. He was hitting shot after shot on the end of the range. I was going to go talk to him, but as I was walking toward the range he hit a drive, then picked up a ball and threw it onto the range. So I left him alone. He told me spent 5 hours that day on the range. The next day another three hours. The night before the first round of Abaco the same player was one of like 3 players left on the range near dark. “Getting there?” I asked “Closer” he said. Alistair Docherty is T15 headed into the final round tomorrow.

@AgoraGolf If you're referring to the Cantlay event, its an Invitational based on results from 2025, played at Virginia CC, & has Patrick Cantlay's association. It's a premiere event that any junior would love to be a part of. BTW, the Fantastic TTC Tours are managed by 2 of our Graduates!

The Toyota Tour Cup event this weekend in LA is really stacked. Are junior events now paying appearance fees? Is it just that they'll be playing near the Ferris Bueller house? #TwoStackedFields

@acaseofthegolf1 Played with him in Colorado this year when he monday’d for the KFT event. Awesome guy! Hope he keeps up the great play and get to see him at Final Stage.

Sangha Park just won 1st stage at Q-school in TX. He was mentored by KJ Choi and there they learn to hit off clay. The theory is, learn to flush it off the hardpan, the grass is going to be easy. Its seemed to work.

Dear Policy Board, First of all, I get it. Monday Qs don’t sell TV or tickets. And you saw your friends make more money and you wanted some of your own, so you shrank fields, made signature events, and got rid of a bunch of Mondays. I wish it was different, I wish you wouldn’t have made some of the changes but with the power to enrich myself, I’m not sure I wouldn’t do the same. But I hope all of you look at the Monday Q today and see what the stories that can come from them. Jim Knous works full time as an engineer at Ping and he got thru. Jason Dufner, a Major Champion who has struggled for years did too. Now he has a chance to win again. Sangha Park went to a tiny DII school, was mentored by KJ Choi, went years not seeing his family back in South Korea to work on his golf. And today that sacrifice paid off. And then there is Corey Pereira. His wife was just 28 years old when she passed away in June after a years long battle with cancer. He told me tonight that for months after her passing he didn’t have the energy to play golf, but has started to play more of late. And today he shot 65. Got thru. I challenge you to find a better story then that. Will those stories sell a bunch of tickets? Or help TV ratings? Nope, probably not. But Mondays are a part of the history. And they have made up a small part of the whole picture of what has made the tour great. I hope you consider that the next time you consider the future of the tour. Thanks.

Absolute stones from 17-year-old Blades Brown. Brown is just a T35 away from temporary membership on KFT, but is out of exemptions. So the only way he is going to get into an event is via a Monday Q... And he just shot 65 and Monday Q'd for the KFT event this week in Colorado

1. Yes it’s his birthday. 2. No I didn’t inform him he was in front of the markers 3. Yes, he claimed he made six. 4. Yes, it was then informed of the two stroke penalty. 5. Yes because it was his birthday I haven’t given him 178 strokes worth of penalties for asking for advice on what club to hit every shot. Just the kind of dad I am.
