@JaneyGodley Jesus the crap I got sent when I was on chemo was shocking. All from people apparently trying to help! Chemo is different for everyone. There are many types of chemo+everyone reacts differently. Listen to your body+talk to the docs and nurses. Sending love ❤

@rickygervais Just watched series 3 of After Life. I have stage 4 cancer and eventually the meds will stop working so this show hit a lot of nerves. Me and my husband loved it and just wanted to thank you for creating it. Touching, honest, gut wrenching and funny.

Once people decide someone is a dickhead, they’re never respected again. Tolerated maybe. But essentially done. Not funny. Not liked. Not trusted. Most of us have always thought of Johnson as a dickhead. Painful that we’ve had to go through so much for others to catch up.

I get the anger but this “They didn’t follow the rules so why did I?” narrative is sad. People feel their sacrifices didn’t count for anything but they did: many thousands of people in this country are alive today because most of us did follow the rules. Worth remembering that.

Not trying to brag, but I’m tucked in bed under a thick tartan blanket with the heater on, I’m wearing soft woolly socks, I have a cup of warm milk with honey to drink, and I am about to start reading a new book.

On Friday 15th May 2020 at 1 pm we held a minute’s silence on our ward (and throughout our hospital) in memory of those who died from Covid - little did we know that the PM & friends were enjoying a garden party that same afternoon.
