Last year we installed three picnic benches on Riverside Walk. Since then, the benches have been put into the river on at least two occasions. This happened again over the weekend. To the individuals who removed them from the river and put them back on the grass - THANK YOU!

We are getting ready for the lights to go on in Calfont St Giles. Come on down from 2.30 to join in the fun.

Only one more sleep until the lights are switched on in CSG. The event starts at 2.30 with singing and the brass band. stalls with goodies to eat and buy. Santa's grotto opens at 3pm. Carols by the infant school prior to the countdown to the lights being switched on at 5.30pm.

Best Kept Village Competition – Presentation There will be a presentation on the village green at 10am Saturday 20 September. Lord Lieutenant, Countess Howe will be awarding the Pushman Cup to the Parish Council Chairman Gordon Patrick BEM. Come on down and help us celebrate.

Village Pond News. During the high groundwater event in 2024, the pond liner rose to the surface of the pond. Work to reset the liner and install one-way valves and extra ballast will begin on 22 September and should last approximately one week but will be weather dependent.

Due to the anticipated hot weather all waste and recycling collections will commence at 6:00am; tomorrow (Friday 20th). Please can all residents with scheduled collections please leave their bins out the night before or by no later than 6am. Thank you.

In preparation for the Best Kept Village Competition, please come down to the village green between 10am and noon tomorrow (Saturday 24 May) to help to clean up the village centre. bring gardening gloves and your own tools you can help to weed the central areas and pavements.

The Parish Council have received some very concerning reports of children using catapults to kill ducks around the duck pond in the village centre. If you have any information about this, please contact the police on 101 quoting reference 43250241390.
