Yall, they aren't getting rid of Destiny. They are moving on from D2 which is NEEDED! D2 is currently a bundle of tech debt that is seen to be increasingly difficult to work with. they are absIlutely going to make a new Destiny experience. is it going to be D3, or even a continuation of the current story? Idk, but any new type of Destiny experience needs to bring back the vibes and mystery D1 gave us. Maybe we'll be in a new system outside Sol. That's the dream I hear Tau Ceti's nice this time of year.

Call it cope but Sony isn’t gonna let one of the single greatest and most lucrative IP’s just die after paying $3.6 BILLION for the studio. Chances are it’s a cutoff of losses ending D2 and a beginning of developing D3 fresh engine, new story and an actual plan going forward

So the goal all along was to gut Destiny 2 for Marathon only for Marathon to average fewer players than Destiny. GGs. Milking a roadmap for 9 months just to post this is actually pathetic.
