Republican challenger Kurt Hourigan noted that despite his loss he may run for public office in the future - whether that be for city council or the mayor’s seat.

Mayor Kevin Scarpati has just secured a fifth term as Meriden’s mayor by a margin of 1,600 votes. A firm victory over his Republican challenger Kurt Hourigan. Celebrations are being held at the Dawg House for the Democratic Party.

I’m pleased to announce that today is my first day working at @Record_Journal , covering the town of Southington. It’s been a journey to get up to Connecticut, but I’m excited to be taking this next step in my career! I’ll be sharing my work with you guys soon!

I try not to get too negative, but it’s hard to keep positive when it feels like I’m just spinning my wheels. It leave me wondering if it’s a problem with me or if there’s something else going on?

I thought I’d have a job by now, in truth. But it seems I’ve had a severe difficulty either getting people to reply back. It’s rather discouraging to try and get into the field for months with what I think is decent experience and still not be able to secure a place to work.
