This week, I was thankful for the invitation from the @CTouchdownClub to give the opening prayer for the Bronco Nagurski trophy that is awarded to the best defensive player in all of @NCAA college football. I prayed that those in attendance, especially the student athletes, would know that their identity is not found in their sport, but in Jesus Christ who died on a cross for our sins. Football is an amazing game that has shaped our great nation allowing young men to compete and these nominees demonstrated that better than anyone this season. Congratulations to all the nominees and to the winner of this year’s award, Jacob Rodriguez.
