@WeAreTUDublin The December CoCREATE update (bit.ly/CoCREATEDec19) outlines the process and prototype from two days of intensive synthesis. The emergent TU Dublin Curriculum Framework is still very much at the 'Prototype' stage, but we seek feedback from all @WeAreTUDublin stakeholders.

The latest CoCREATE update (bit.ly/CoCREATENov19) aims to keep all @WeAreTUDublin stakeholders up to date on the dev. of our Quality Curriculum Framework.Recent weeks have been crazy, but we have now spoken with almost 1000 stakeholders, seeking their opinion for our Framework

@CTudublin will present at the College of Sciences and Health Academic Board this morning; part of the 'winning hearts and minds' phase of the project. Teaching Fellows will speak at all @WeAreTUDublin College/Campus Academic Boards over the next month to raise project awareness

An excellent afternoon session; focussing on what and how to embed & recognise co-curricular activities in the new @WeAreTUDublin Quality Curriculum Framework. The big take-home message is the need for support & recognition for staff & students engaged in co-curricular activities

@glynnmark suggests that 'Production' is one of the key learning types that should underpin the academic integrity of co-/extra- curricular evidence, as recently showcased in @WeAreTUDublin by @ABC_LD/@ABCtoVLE

@glynnmark notes the Uaneen Module (dcu.ie/uaneen/index.s…) in @DublinCityUni; it can be taken as a contributory or non-contributory module.

@glynnmark notes that an eportfolio for life is key for extended engagement and reflection. A dedicated staff member (@dubdonaldson) to champion the eportfolio results in increased use (i.e. in 2017: 5,500 students, 2018: 10,000 students, 2019, 14,500 students) @kcor1964

@glynnmark maps Graduate Attributes onto 21st century skills. How can students develop soft skills with long commutes, family life? Mark suggests a multifaceted approach; eportfolios, accredited modules, and engagement awards.

@glynnmark suggests that a top-down and bottom-up approach is required to ensure project traction; dedicated resources are needed. In @DublinCityUni eportfolio engagement went from 32 students, to over 5,000 in a year, after a 'champion' was appointed.

@dervan_paul presents some initial survey data on STLR, n=32, however, strong majority report a positive impact. Indication towards improved retention, with past studies also suggesting STLR leading to an improved GPA.

The students note that STLR gives you opportunities to speak out and move out of your comfort zone; speaking at todays 'academic' event was seen as a challenge...but rewarding!

More students speak now on their first year General Business programme as why she get involved in STLR? It is a competitive advantage and it is formally recognises soft-skills. It also documents your journey, sometimes you forget all the skills you develop.

The @WeAreTUDublin STLR record allows the student to produce a bespoke, printable record ready for job/further studies applications.
