If you want to be better training the race, then have your athletes race with constraints. "You must do X number of dolphin kicks" or With a tempo trainer. With a 6 beat kick. With a Tech Suit. With "meet music". Meaningful competition.....etc.

On d4 of PCSCs, Chris Haygood led the way for the Golden Eagles, setting a new PR in the 100 free at 45.06. It is the top seed going into finals, #3 in school history AND HIS FIRST NCAA QUALIFYING TIME! #swimforHIM #builtgolden #goldenera

Ryan Burke rode a powerful back half to grab a bronze in the women’s 100 fly at PCSCs. She went a season best 56.95. Georgia Caraway was 6th and Naomi Nakaya was 7th. #swimforHIM

Jayden Hernandez just won the 100 butterfly PCSC conference title! 48.74 in a come-from-battle to the wire!! It’s his second crown in this event in 3 seasons. Absolutely #swimforHIM

Jayden Hernandez went a PR school record in the 1fly at 48.73. It’s his second NCAA cut and earns him the top seed going into the final tonight. Julian Hernandez is 8th in the same event and wants to make a move. #swimforHIM

Rachel Maki dropped 1 second off her PR in the 500 free to earn another NCAA “B” qualifying time in that event. She qualified 2nd into the finals at PCSCs tonight. with a 5:02.77. #swimforHIM

D2 of PCSC prelims are in the books. Lots of finals swims for the Golden Eagles; highlight is Jayden Hernandez posting a PR of 20.37 good for the top seed, #2 in CUI history and his FIRST EVER NCAA “B” qualifying time! #swimforHIM

Double bang! Men’s 4x50 medley relay came from behind to grab 2nd at PCSCs posting the 4th fastest time in CUI history at 1:31.76. Thatcher Grooms, Jack Harris, Jayden Hernandez, and Chris Haygood laid the wood!! #swimforHIM

BANG! At the PCSC d1 finals, the 4x50 medley relay of Aubrie Carver, Alex Leland, Georgia Caraway, and Hailey Garcia destroyed the program record set in 2011, posting a 1:44.41. The old record was 1:45.28. They were flying!!! #swimforHIM
