✊🏾📢🪧 CUPE 53 members continue to stand strong on the picket line as they fight against unfair deals from the employer! Town of Whitby municipal workers keep the municipality running. The 300 full-time members are now on strike because the employer continued to push through harmful concessions which do nothing to ensure the best possible delivery of services. Members of CUPE Local 53 deserve better than precarious work and unstable shifts. Now it’s to call on councillors and the Mayor to tell the Town to get back to the table, drop the concessions, and reach a fair deal to end this strike.
