The District offers 3 Flag Retirement Drop Boxes, including 24/7 options in front of the Community Heritage Center and the Veterans Memorial Building. Another option is the flag retirement drop box at The American Legion’s Post 147, located at 508 4th Street, Clovis, CA 93612.

🇺🇸 This morning, the District hosted our Commanders Breakfast, bringing together local veterans and military leaders to discuss upcoming events and community needs. With a busy season ahead, these conversations help ensure we stay connected and show up where it matters most.

🇺🇸 Today, the community leaders gathered at the District to launch a regional vision for America’s 250th Anniversary. A year of events, partnerships, and community connection begins now. Join us in celebrating 250 years of America’s story!

🎓✨ Tonight, Sixteen Clovis Unified students were recognized at the 2026 Students of Promise Awards in the Liberty Ballroom, celebrating resilience, determination, and bright futures ahead. Each student honored represents perseverance in action. 🌟

The Veterans Strategic Hiring Event brought it all together today—connecting attendees with employers ready to hire. Conversations turned into real opportunities and new beginnings. We look forward to welcoming you to the next Strategic Hiring Event on July 21.

Have you visited this memorial? Near the District's south entrance on Veterans Parkway, lives "On Behalf of a Grateful Nation". Created by sculptor, Thomas King, in 2003, it portrays 5 different military branches from different eras in our history. #CVMDistrict

We welcomed students from Fancher Creek Elementary to the Community Heritage Center for a day of discovery — touring Clovis, visiting the Big Dry Creek Museum, and learning local history. Connecting with the past helps shape their future. Schedule a tour: (559) 299-0471

This weekend, The American Legion Post 147 and VFW Post 3225 hosted their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony, respectfully retiring 6,222 worn and weathered flags collected from across the valley. Each was handled with care and reflection, ensuring the dignity the flag deserves.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an incredible afternoon of music from the AUSA Sounds of Freedom Band. We heard many pieces that truly showed us "The Joy of Color!". We hope to see you on May 17th for the Salute to Armed Forces concert for another afternoon of live music!

The Trust in Me, My Friend Memorial is a beautiful reminder of the brave military dogs who have helped to save over 10,000 lives since WWII. Located at the Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center, 85 N Temperance Ave, in Clovis, it recognizes all military dogs and their handlers.
