@FinalIncorrect @LittleCatoM Even though I only saw one of the above, for me it’s to create stuff, I’m planning to make my own graphic novel project and make it the absolute best. There’s some small Final Space influences in my story, and I actually decided to start on it once the final chapter comes out!

I can't believe all these shows I've gotten so invested in are ending this year! What the fuck am I supposed to do now?! Get an actual life?!? Fuck!!!

MIDNIGHT EDITIONS ARE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT. I’m working through inventory now and, to be safe, I’m moving the final 100 copies into the rest of my protected count while we see how many need to be damaged out. The dehumidifier’s running, the workspace is dialed in… it’s getting real. I can’t thank you all enough for taking the leap on this project. And the patience. Thank you for being patient and I figure out all of this on the fly. The Midnight Edition was our trial-by-fire run, it helped me real dial in the color edition. @FinalSpace Thank you!! My holidays were great! Loved my Christmas, it felt a little strange to spend it in a tropical-ish beach ambience rather than in the city though haha. I’m SO INCREDIBLY EXCITED to read this book, though. I can’t wait!! I’m absolutely beyond hyped to finally have it!!

@FinalSpace Love seeing insight on this process! Likely an out-of-topic question, but is Invictus blue purely because of stylistic/art reasons? Or is there actually a story reason as to why Invictus has that color in the cover?

Happy Final Space Saturday Good news: the cover is fixed. We had to shimmy Mooncake up a bit and shrink the cover art just a hair along with the title so nothing hits that fold line. Good learning lesson. We also nudged the color density and saturation slightly to give it a little extra pop. I didn't even see that, that note was from more experienced eyes. The one thing we’re testing right now: moving Mooncake up means he overlaps the lettering, and with the lightning, Gary, and Mooncake all crossing into the title, the silver foil might not play as nice as we want. There’s a chance those elements would look better UV-spotted instead. We’re talking it through with the printer, but if foil in that area isn’t going to sing, I’m totally good going UV spot on the front title. That would mean the green title with Gary and Mooncake gets a glossy UV spot, while the yellow text on the spine and back stays silver foil on a matte cover. Either way it’s going to look slick. I realize more and more during this printing process, this would have been impossible for me without help. I wouldn't have known what to do without Mathew at @GungnirBooks talking to the printer and communicating things I didn't know I needed or wanted. Anyways, I'm pumped! Almost there.

@FinalSpace If a possibility for animation ever came, I’m all for it. But for today, I’m deeply excited for this book. Religiously followed every update, theorized like crazy, even had dreams of having it (woke up disappointed it wasn’t real haha). It’s been a huge honor to follow all of it.

I’ve been asked this nonstop the past few days. And honestly? I don’t know. If I had to give an answer, I’d say it’s unlikely not impossible, just very unlikely. Would I love to make more animation in the Final Space world? Of course. If they called me tomorrow in some dream-universe and said, “Hey, want to do more?” I’d say yes in a heartbeat. I’d do it for free. But here’s the truth: after everything I’ve learned about Hollywood, mergers, buyouts, and corporate chaos, I genuinely believe the graphic novel is the end of this story. When I started Final Space, I was in my late 20s. Now I’m in my late 30s. Warners been through this three times since then. It’s wild. These things are never quick and they’re never good news. And remember Final Space was actually with someone more specific under Warner Brothers and that was TBS/Studio T… and they aren’t included in the Netflix deal. Weirdly, though that might actually help in getting the rights back…maybe. TBS and TNT may part with it being they would be away from Warner and have no use for an animation IP. That’s the best hope for it. But first let’s see if this whole Netflix thing even happens. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized time is the greatest asset we have. I don’t want to waste any more of it. I’ve got a few more stories in me I want to tell before I leave this planet. I took two years off from writing scripts to focus on this novel, and now I’m writing other things and it’s just pouring out of me. It feels good. Really good. I’ll always leave the door open for more Final Space. Always. For now we got an ending in a graphic novel. Excited for everyone to read it.

@l0verSoundwave He was strange, and a bit upsetting haha. After S2 E11 I was relieved he wouldn’t flash any other disgusting jokes (that money compass thing was GROSS. Legit expected Kevin Van Newton to take a jab on it on TFC Previously On haha). But GOOD LORD did I love his redemption in S3.
