You’re free to disagree — that’s fine brother. You’re right. I am bias. I’ve worked with Supercell to help assist in supporting their creators for years, especially the small & emerging ones. I also see the work every day that their creator managers put in when it comes to helping creators. I don’t really make content for their games anymore and have no sense the community sentiment (obviously not good based on the replies 😂) — but I’m not speaking to the health or state of the games here. Only their work with creators. I do work with many other developers, though. Some of whom make far more than SC and do far less to support their creators, unfortunately.

You’re changing the argument. You said they do less for their creators than any other developer. That’s simply not true. Now, if your argument is that they should look to do even more, that’s fine. My whole life is about advocating & helping creators, especially smaller ones, so I happen to agree!

@CWA @ipaananen @rick_c_official That framing makes it sound like Supercell is writing blank checks, but the numbers don’t back that up. Their creator program is affiliate-style rev share — ~5% of net purchases after platform fees. That’s creator earnings driven by player spending, not Supercell handing out

Well, SC has spent millions of dollars they didn’t have to supporting creator growth. Youtube/content coaches, in-person growth seminars, creator codes, giveaways, sponsoring creator events, VIP event invites— even simple things like buying equipment upgrades for hundreds and hundreds of creators. Have they made mistakes? Sure, plenty of them. You can call me every name in the book, I don’t mind nor care. The truth is I’ve worked with almost every major game developer in the world and very few have came close to the above level of support.
