Let’s build windmills Gov. Healey said, it’ll lower costs and protect the environment she said. A Gloucester wind turbine was torn down after years of nonstop mechanical failures including a blade that fell off. A Vineyard Wind blade collapsed into the ocean sending fiberglass onto Nantucket beaches. Vineyard Wind is now suing its own manufacturer for $545 million and a judge had to order GE to stay on the project. The highest electric bills in the country. Two natural gas pipelines killed by Healey for this. Incredible.

New housing permits in Massachusetts are down 44% under Governor Healey. Construction costs are among the highest in the country. She wants to ban gas hookups in new buildings which makes every new unit even more expensive to build. And now rent control is headed to the ballot. Capping rent without fixing the cost of building does not solve a housing crisis. It guarantees one. Massachusetts does not need rent control. We made it very clear 545 days ago. 72% of us voted to audit our own government. Governor Healey has not backed it once. Not a word. Meanwhile a billion of our dollars lost to SNAP fraud, millions more in MassHealth fraud, and billions handed to illegal migrants. She is out there demanding $1,745 refund checks from President Trump but if she had supported the audit we voted for and cut the fraud and waste we would already have that same amount (if not more) already in our pockets. We asked for accountability. She gave us silence. Tells us everything we need to know about what she prioritizes: her political agenda.

The ability to beat Maura Healey in the general considering most voters are registered as independent. Considering Healey has already launched attacks on republicans to be alt-right, electability against Healey is going to be key. Any candidate who positions themselves as against abortion- the democrats will have a field day with especially looking at the fact she just had her highest fundraising month- that money will go to attack ads. Remember how many ads we saw of Kelly Ayotte and the Democrat ads against Kelly Ayotte which were pretty much all about abortion for the NH governor’s race last election cycle? I mean I was in Douglas getting those ads- I don’t know about you.

So let's get this straight, Mike Minogue is anti-choice and thinks he can beat an incumbent governor who is pro-choice. Massachusetts has the highest pro-choice support in the entire country at 83%. Even Brian Shortsleeve's own campaign said it best — you cannot beat an incumbent Democrat governor by being anti-choice.

It's worth mentioning that Governor Healey just handed ChatGPT to 40,000 state employees. The same 40,000 state employees whose jobs could now be replaced by AI. Two colleges closed this week. 12,000 private sector jobs already gone. Nearly 5,000 businesses closed on her watch. So how many more jobs have to go before this becomes a crisis?

Hampshire College and Anna Maria College are both closing this week, leaving 350 more workers without jobs. Nearly 5,000 businesses gone and 12,000 private sector jobs lost under Governor Healey, with unemployment at 4.8% and climbing. And she just signed off on a $63.3 billion budget that keeps growing every single year. Government keeps getting bigger while Massachusetts keeps getting smaller. She has the nerve to call a 1% tax cut catastrophic. Look around. THIS is catastrophic.

The energy crisis in Massachusetts didn’t happen by accident. Governor Healey killed two natural gas pipelines that would’ve cost $3.3 billion to build and saved us $1 billion a year. Instead she spent $4 billion on Vineyard Wind, a project whose turbine blades are collapsing into the ocean, whose manufacturer is walking away, and which is now buried in lawsuits. She has been building solar farms that cost up to $30 million each and get buried under snow every winter. Massachusetts has the highest electric bills in the country. No one is more responsible for our outrageous energy costs than Maura Healey.

While Governor Healey has been silent for 541 days Brian Shortsleeve (@ShortsleeveMA) has been saying the same thing from day one. Audit every state agency. Cut the waste. Find the fraud. Stop the bleeding. He fixed the MBTA in nine months and he’s not afraid to do it again. He’s not backing down. He’s not staying silent. Massachusetts doesn’t have time for more phony leadership.

Governor Healey wants speed cameras across Massachusetts. She says it’s purely about safety and not about the money at all. This is the same governor who has supported every single vote against any sort of tax cut, refuses to suspend our gas tax, and has given us the highest electric bills in the country. She has never found a way to put money back in our pockets. She has found plenty of ways to take it. So we have to ask: if this is really about safety and not the money why is it buried deep inside a $63 billion budget?
