@expomick Yes. Number of games up and these best on best tournaments every 2 years is getting a little carried away. Teams are going to have to build less of a top heavy team so they can spread the minutes out better.

@BaldurBarons Rule of thumb is 24 hours. But I was always taught to cut rain fasts and things of that nature in half. So 12 hours should do.

@AzorcanGlobal Holloway was a disaster to not match. Was at the time even worse in hindsight. Broberg wasnt as big of a hit. But losing Holloway, Foegle and Mcleod was the start of the spiral downward

Criminal that the #Oilers let Holloway and Broberg walk. Matching Holloway was the easiest thing to do at the time. Total mismanagement of assets. At the time, I said match both, & move out a contract or two if you have too.

@thegoldenmuzzy The team loved Woodcroft. They did not approve of him being fired. That was Jeff Jackson's doing. Woodcroft would be and should still be the coach of the Oilers.

@jimmathesonnhl Once you find the type of coach that works with this group they will last longer than 2-3 years they keep swinging and missing on their coach hires. They have yet to try a coach of Cassidy or Laviolett's stature yet.

@HockeyPatrol Leafs need to move matthews to SJ and Nylander to Chicago for a ransom and they will be in a great spot with alot of cap space and young talent.

Everyone is scared of the Elias Pettersson price tag. But think about this. Mats Sundin is now running the Leafs. He’s Swedish. He knows exactly how to develop elite Swedish talent. Nylander already has a connection to that culture. Pettersson and Nylander on the same line. Two elite Swedish forwards playing for a franchise led by the greatest Swedish player in NHL history. Sundin doesn’t just sign Pettersson, HE UNLOCKS HIM. The player who looks lost in Vancouver becomes the player who dominates in Toronto because the culture finally fits. $11.6M is scary. But Sundin whispering in his ear changes everything.
