NEW: Man found dead in back of unlocked, out-of-service Azusa police cruiser three days after unlawfully entering it 37-year-old Eric Valencia was discovered dead in the rear passenger seat of an Azusa Police Department patrol SUV on March 26, 2026. Surveillance footage shows Valencia, who had just been released from custody on DUI and child endangerment charges, walking aimlessly outside the station before climbing into the cruiser at 12:38 p.m. on March 23 and closing the door. He was not seen again until an officer found his body during a routine vehicle check three days later. The vehicle could not be opened from the inside of the rear seat. Valencia had a functioning cell phone and food with him but never called for help. His family is outraged, saying police dismissed their missing persons report while he was trapped just outside the station. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death. I had a distinction in philosophy in my undergrad and in my masters. Now doing my PhD and I still jobless. Nigeria, professors tell you that you can work anywhere with your degree in philosophy. But that is one big lie there, you wont even get any job. Everyone cast you aside like you cant offer anything.
