An important discussion with representatives of the international business community. We discussed strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience and preparations for the next winter. On March 1, all our local authorities will present an energy development plan for the next winter. It is important to do as much as possible in preparation over the half year we have before the start of the next heating season. The role of the private sector in this is key, and we count on joint projects. Among the key issues were also broader opportunities for investment in Ukraine and the involvement of private business in reconstruction, including investments in the defense industry. Thank you to the representatives for supporting Ukraine throughout these years of full-scale Russian aggression. Even during the war, after such a winter, our country lives. We are open to partnership, to joint projects, to investments that will support our people and our security. Thank you to everyone who invests in Ukraine’s resilience.

With the heads of international investment companies, we discussed rallying greater support for Ukraine, investing in the energy and defense sectors, developing proposals for Ukraine’s post-war recovery plan, and work on the security guarantees. We need support for Ukraine's resilience. I am confident that helping our people now will deliver mutually beneficial results in the future. I am grateful for this meeting and for the interest in partnering with Ukraine – I thank everyone who took part.

Heartbroken by the shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Like many Canadian parents, I can’t imagine the pain of sending my child to school only for them to face such terror and violence. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones, everyone recovering, and the entire community as you endure this unimaginable grief.

Je suis bouleversée par la fusillade à Tumbler Ridge, en Colombie-Britannique. Comme tous les parents canadiens, je suis hantée par l'idée qu'un enfant puisse vivre une telle terreur là où il devrait être en sécurité. Mes pensées accompagnent les familles endeuillées, les blessés en convalescence et toute la communauté qui traverse cette épreuve inimaginable.
