Terrible decision that will absolutely kill and exterminate both tiers 2 and 3. The opens run in the red because the orgs are using a shoestring budget to plan and execute the event but more than that, the league and activision do next to nothing to support the orgs keeping Challengers alive. We all run teams fully in the red with the exception of a few like @omitrafi or @ZooMaa and @LosBoolin who have been able to create large brands and followings to increase their footprint. LAN is one of the few real opportunities to provide both genuine exposure for these young players trying to make a career as well as for smaller orgs like CABAL trying to grow their standing and outreach. Fully online does nothing but help activision and the CDLs pockets while killing their own esport.
