@RegiStonk @ThePPseedsShow We don’t have a way to validate what the card balance is since it’s a totally different company and that entity is officially gone. However, I have been trying to come up with solutions that offer something in situations like this as a sign of Goodwill.

This farm owner has bales of pine straw made from Longleaf pine trees. Each of his employees make $1.50 for every bale they make. They usually do 200 bales a day. He says they average about 20 bales an hour. The farmer sells these bales for $5 each. Many other places are a lot more expensive people said. He says these kinds of trees are prominent all over the South and people use the straw for landscaping instead of mulch down there. Many people said that is too much hard labor and that they have machines that will do that. But the owner said the machine bales are not as good. The machines break a lot of the straw and machines include sticks and other things vs this hand picked straw. He said this old fashioned way is still used by a lot of independent farmers. $200 a day, $1,000 a week, is not bad money. Some make up to $1,500 a week working extra hours. He said his farm will produce about 20K bales of this straw. Do you think that is way too much work for $200-$300 a day? Or do you think that is an honest wage for an honest day’s work?

The FRAM bankruptcy has nothing to do with the motor oil shortage, but it does highlight the sensitivity of supply chain. There are dozens of brands who would love to step up and take FRAM's place on the Walmart shelves, yet they sit empty. finance.yahoo.com/news/parent-co…

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.
Shay Boloor@StockSavvyShay

Jeff Bezos said the bottom half of Americans should pay zero federal income tax. He cited a nurse in Queens making ~$75K and paying ~$12K in taxes saying “we shouldn’t be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington.”

Thank you. The important part is zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. Best way to put money in someone’s pocket is to not take it out in the first place. Bottom half is only 3% of total tax revenue. But it’s very meaningful to that person. Zero it out.

Facts It's great that Jeff Bezos thinks this way, because too many people who don't make money think that giving money to the government will solve a lot of their problems. They think these government programs are the answer, and it's clearly not. You can look at the federal level or at the state level, and you will see that a lot of government programs are simply waste.

Our industry publication @OilLubeNews has tracked oil change prices since the 1980's. The benchmark has always been referred to as LOF (Lube, Oil, Filter) it's 5 quarts & a spin on filter - of course there will always be anecdotal examples of full service repair shops using oil changes as a loss leader but that isn't indicative of what the national avgs are. The last time an oil change was under $20 on avg was the 80s

I was able to change my oil for like $20 in the early 2000s, now the Synthetic costs you damn near a $100 for 5 quarts. It’s completely insane.
