Unveiling 'Roots', a new mural at MAPA Bradford by street artist Peachzz and the MAPA community 🎨 The mural captures the essence of unity within the community, and reflects the diverse voices and shared experiences that define MAPA’s collective identity. Read on for more 👇 'Roots' features depictions of Newby Square flats, a vibrant scene from Peoples Day - an important event in the MAPA calendar - and popular activities such as music, pool, art and crafts. The title 'Roots' was inspired by Mikey Roots, a revered local musician, community leader and figure of immense respect who is honoured and celebrated within the piece as a representative of the MAPA community. 'Roots' is the latest artwork in the BD:Walls project, a collaboration between Bradford 2025 and @bradfordmdc that will transform the district’s blank walls into vibrant canvases.
