@AstroKatie @acweyand And people actually take hand hygiene seriously still. Hand washing and hand sanitising happening so regularly. Feels so much safer here than home in Brisbane in much less crowded spaces

@AstroKatie @acweyand I have been in bangkok this week and while it’s super crowded, everyone is masked all the time. Trains, shops, just walking around, even when visiting family they (and we) were all wearing masks except when eating. It’s so refreshing. Only exception is all the white tourists 🤦🏼‍♀️

So are we just supposed to pretend that hundreds of people aren’t dying of #COVID19 in the US every day? That’s the plan?

@ok_lyndsey so long answer is, unless you were super-fast charging a tesla Model X (with a 100kWH) battery from 0% to 100%, then no, you're not paying anywhere near $60 for a charge. Short answer is no, that is not correct 😅

@ok_lyndsey But unless you’re driving 100s of km every day (or don’t have access to a power point where you park) you’ll seldom use a fast charger.

A guy at the car dealership told me an EV costs $60 in electricity per charge. Is that correct?

@ok_lyndsey Our Kia EV6 uses ~ 15 kWH per 100km. So about $3.50 for 100km granny charging at home through a regular power point. We’ve only had it a month and gone about 1000km in that time so would have spent maybe $35 for about ‘2 charges’ if we were charging at night. But cheaper on ☀️
