@bygregorr @IndieGameJoe I chose c++ because I tried Unity and didn't make much progress in over 3 months. So I chose c++ to learn and be valuable for AAA companies that use it in their engines in case my game fails. I should have used a framework over programming everything, tho. Wasted a lot of time.

@IndieGameJoe What made him choose C++ from scratch over an engine like Godot or Unity, do you know?

@KoltPenny @jackvaniadev Good point, but an example of a competitive game, build from the ground up with a server in mind to help with cheating is the argument put forth by many devs, would be difficult to change. He claims it's been solved, but provides no examples. I wonder if there even is one?

@Cakez77 @jackvaniadev Minecraft Java have had binaries for both server and client since forever. That game will never die even if Mojang disappears today.
