As the Governor’s May Revision approaches, city leaders are calling on the state to fully restore HHAP funding. Cities are already stepping up to prevent and reduce homelessness. Now the state must be a stronger partner. Restoring HHAP is essential to sustaining progress and meeting this crisis head-on.

Cal Cities and local government partners are pushing back on an unprecedented proposal from the California High-Speed Rail Authority that threatens local revenues and control. The plan would take local tax dollars meant for our communities and redirect them away from essential services like police, fire, roads, housing, and more.

The May budget revise is coming up, and Cal Cities along with a coalition of local governments and behavioral health advocates oppose a proposed state funding cut that could eliminate mobile crisis teams.
