Agreed. You can’t Learn to drive until you’re 16, can’t buy cigarettes or alcohol until you’re 18. Age restrictions on items already exist today, there’s no reason why something like this can’t introduced to phones. Smartphones are an incredible tool with all the knowledge of the universe on them, however that can be dangerous if in negligent hands. Smartphones should simply be restricted until a certain age, that’s a much better solution than jumping through hoops and rings trying to come up with all these nonsense controls and bans. In the meantime I propose a “dumbpone” for simple calls and texts so teenagers can keep In touch with family and friends

Just ban them from having smartphones.
