Calasanctius College will re-open tomorrow, Tuesday, 28 January 2025. Please be aware that some issues exist with WiFi & this may cause problems with card payments for the canteen. You are advised to bring some cash as a backup. We look forward to welcoming back our students.

Due to a water outage & following guidance from Irish Water, our school, Scoil Íosa, the Gaelscoil & Maree NS will remain closed tomorrow. Students should not attend tomorrow, Monday, 27 January. We will update tomorrow once we have more information. Please share this message.

If there is any change to situation we will let you know at the earliest opportunity. Please monitor the conditions and exercise your judgement as conditions can vary considerably locally and the safety of all members of our school community is paramount.

Given the orange alert that is intended to revert to yellow at 11am tomorrow, the school will remain closed until 11am tomorrow morning, with class beginning at 1115am and following the timetable from there on.

We've been crunching the numbers on the LC results & are delighted with how well the Class of 2024 has done. Well done to you all! Great ability across the year with a very large number scoring more than 500 points & 7 students scoring more than 600 points. #CalaColl #LC2024

Tree Planting - Sixth Year Students Our Leaving Certificate students took part in our Traditional Tree Planting. This tree will stand tall alongside all of those planted over the years.

Calasanctius College Teachers v Students. In a thrilling game the teams were tied when the final whistle blew. However, with youth on their side, the students won the game by a narrow margin in a penalty shootout. Well done team, Calasanctius Students.

Transition Year students attended their graduation ceremony last Tuesday night. Students and parents had a lovely evening. Congratulations to Laura Moloney and Shane Burke on being named Student of the Year and to all the recipients of the Spirit of Calasanctius Awards.

Congratulations to the Calasanctius College Green Schools committee who have received their 10th green flag for the Global Citizenship - travel theme. The committee raised the flag on Tuesday, 28th May.

The class of 2024 celebrated their Graduation on the evening of Thursday 23rd May. Congratulations to Rachel Guckian and Jimmy Mangan on being awarded 'Student of the Year'. We would like to wish all the students the best of luck in their exams and their future path.

U16 Shield Final Winners. Congratulations and well done.

A Lust for Life visit to Calasanctius College. Niall Breslin (Bressie), Bernie Keogh and Dr. Malie Coyne, members of A Lust for Life - Irish Mental Health Charity spoke with some of our students today. We are so thankful for this amazing opportunity.
