A statement from Deputy Leader @ScottAPatient on behalf of Calderdale Labour group concerning the recent violence & disorder on the streets, following his opening comments at Monday's @Calderdale Cabinet meeting. 🌹

In a few weeks I'll be moving on from this brilliant role @Calderdale. If you fancy one of the most interesting and varied jobs in local government please do apply. I have absolutely loved it.

Being elected to represent the people of Halifax is the honour of my life. Thank you to everyone who voted for me, I promise to work tirelessly to repay your trust. It’s time for change, let’s get to work 🌹

Thank you. I want to be the MP for all of Calder Valley. Upper Valley and lower whether they voted for me or didn’t. I’m your voice in Westminster.

I have just finished my last door knocking session before polling day. It has been great to talk to people up and down the valley about their concerns and hopes. So many people feel that we need change and many for the first time will be voting Labour to get it. I am so proud of the campaign we have run. If you like me want change I hope you will vote for it tomorrow. Polls are open from 7am to 10pm and you need ID to vote. I will commit to always being Calder Valleys voice in Westminster and not Westminster’s voice in Calder Valley.

Something to watch on your commute. This weekend I spoke with @TracyBrabin and @LouHaigh about the importance of local transport to our communities. And the need to deliver Elland Train Station in the coming years.

Despite the colours this is a Conservative leaflet in Calder Valley. Obviously struggling to find real families who support their “plans” as they seem to have chosen a random stock image. Either that or that’s a very busy family!
