Three years on, Ukraine continues to show extraordinary courage in the face of Russia’s brutal invasion. Britain has stood with Ukraine from day one and we will stand with them for as long as it takes. Slava Ukraini 🇬🇧🇺🇦

This morning the Edu Sec refused THREE times to answer whether there was any evidence that taking powers away from academies will improve a single school. The Schools Bill destroys decades of consensus on what improves schools without a scrap of evidence it will improve anything.

President Zelenskyy is not a dictator. He is the democratically elected leader of Ukraine who bravely stood up to Putin’s illegal invasion. Under my leadership, and under successive Conservative Prime Ministers, we have and always will stand with Ukraine. President Trump is right that Europe needs to pull its weight - and that includes the UK. We need to get serious. The PM will have my support to increase defence spending - there is a fully funded plan to get to 2.5% sitting on his desk. That should be the bare minimum. Starmer should get on with it, get on a plane to Washington and show some leadership. We cannot afford to get this wrong.

The only way to improve local public services is to remove Labour on Calderdale Council from power by voting Conservative. Labour has failed to deliver local public services, provide value for money, complete projects on time, and represent local interests.

🔵The Conservative Group remains steadfast in its opposition to the Incinerator and will continue to advocate for residents' concerns.

Whilst this united stance is a significant step, it's important to remember that Calderdale Council can still grant the Environmental Permit for the Incinerator. This decision is delegated to senior Council officers.
