@CalebGAndrew @zbear1437 Why do people not have JQA higher? He is the mind behind the Monroe presidency & he expands US economic systems during his own presidency. I’m not anti-Jackson, but if this is the reason for the JQA’s consistent demotion on these lists, it’s not a great criteria.

@FireTerryAtl I’ve been seeing this critique frequently. I like Jackson (spoils system, expansion, nullification crisis) but I disagree with his economic policies—particularly on central banking, which caused the panic of 1837.
