It's a great thing IP and patent laws give parasitic companies like Nvidia to basically corner the market and stamp out any competition with state violence and enforce their monopoly (a cartel, if you will).

Let boys take dominion... Over a decade ago, we had an older family who were we close with and mentored us some. The mom told a story. One day, she couldn't find her young son. She looked all over the house - in closets, under beds, behind pillows and wrapped in blankets... She checked all his favorite spots outside on the porch and in the garage and down in the basement… Eventually, as she walked into the kitchen, she discovered him.... on top of the refrigerator. He had used a stool, two drawers, a kitchen appliance and some ingenuity to climb to the top of the fridge. She slightly gasped but then caught herself. She then calmly asked her son to come down and explain to him that she would love for him to be able to climb and explore, but he needed to not do it on top of the refrigerator. Instead, they were places outside or she could take him to a park. She wanted to make clear that his desire to climb was good. She then explained how many parents, especially moms, would have became upset, chided the child, even disciplined them But her son didn't do anything wrong. Indeed, he actually did something very right - he did what God made him to do - take dominion. Build, explore, understand, apply. It was very helpful to me as a young dad. Brain and assumption rearranging. We often discipline children not for when they are doing something wrong... but when they are doing something right... sometimes perhaps just in a wrong way. Instead, we need to grow in wisdom to understand when our children are doing good things perhaps in wrong ways

While I appreciate the attempts to find common ground with the old earthers out there, the Bible says it was evening and morning for each day to show us that this is a 24 hour period. Not figurative, but literal. Genesis is a historical narrative. It’s important that as Christians we choose to believe God’s word.

For a group that prides themselves on letting people enjoy things, they’re quite shocked when people enjoy things.

What terrifies me is if AI were to cure cancer and save 50 million Americans. Imagine the backlash from hardworking scientists who wanted to cure cancer themselves?
