Tulane Green Wave 🏈 Transfer Portal: CB Caleb Rick’s (Idaho) This has to be one of my favorite players to enter the portal. Tulane just lost Javion White to the Portal and are in need of a Day 1 starter! Caleb Ricks, a true freshman cornerback for the Idaho Vandals, had an impressive 2025 season that earned him recognition as an FCS Freshman All-American. He was one of just two true freshmen cornerbacks nationwide to start every game for his team. In terms of stats, across 11 games, Ricks recorded 26 total tackles (10 solo, 16 assisted), 1 interception (returned for 27 yards), and 8 pass breakups (PBUs). His standout performance came against UC Davis on November 8, 2025, where he had a season-high 6 tackles and his lone interception, earning him Defensive Player of the Game honors. On the PFF side, Ricks led all Big Sky Conference cornerbacks in forced incompletion percentage at 29.3% (minimum 120 coverage snaps, per TruMedia/PFF data). He also ranked highly in other PFF-derived metrics among conference CBs, including third in passer rating allowed (52.6) and third in coverage grade (89.8). These numbers highlight his effectiveness in coverage, especially for a freshman, showing strong instincts, physicality (at 6’1”, 195 lbs), and ability to disrupt passes without allowing big plays. #RollWave
