Unfortunately, western again falls short of anything meaningful. Missed kick, mercer took a timeout they didnt have, but the bottom line is we gave up 49 points and anytime you do that, you cant expect to win

You have to feel gutted for the Catamount fans. This was one of their best chances to win a football conference title. They drove down the field, got it into very manageable field goal territory. And they miss.

Shared title is different from an outright title. Both teams are labeled “champions” in a shared title, regardless of whether one gets an auto bid due to H2H

@toddytodd @OptaAnalystFCS Wrong. If Mercer beats Western they will be 7-0 in conference play. Even if they lose to chatt and western wins out after losing to Mercer, Mercer will have the head to head win over Western if both finish 7-1. So, yes, Mercer does clinch the title.
