Great role, if you know someone, connect with @michaelxbloch
Michael Bloch@michaelxbloch

We’re hiring a Principal at Quiet Capital. Quiet is a five-partner VC firm managing over $5 billion. We were early investors in Deel, ElevenLabs, Mercury, Reddit, OpenAI, among many others. We invest from pre-seed to Series A in outlier founders who are creating entirely new categories, not incrementally improving existing ones. AI is compressing most of the analytical work that investors spend their time on. Research, diligence, models, memos. What used to take a week takes an afternoon. The parts of this job that will define the next era of great investors are the parts that can’t be automated: being the person a founder calls before they’ve told anyone they’re raising, and being the person they want to work with when they have multiple term sheets. That’s the role we’re hiring for. Our ideal Principal has probably started a company, been an early employee at a high-growth startup, or invested at another firm. When an ambitious founder is deciding who to spend time with, they respect your experience because you’ve been in their shoes. You’re already in the right group chats and getting texts when someone is starting something new. You like meeting 20 people a week and know exactly which two the team needs to spend more time with. This is a role where you’ll work alongside our entire partnership. The kind of person we want gets energy from coffees with founders in the morning, Zooms in the afternoon, events in the evening, and traveling. We’re looking for someone with high agency, high energy, competitive drive, taste, humility, and curiosity. This person must be based in SF or NYC. If this is you, email me. I’d love to talk. If you know someone this sounds like, send them this post. If there’s someone I should meet, even if they’re not looking, send me their name. I’ll reach out thoughtfully.

First day officially living/working in SF and had breakfast a few feet from Mark Pincus and dinner a few feet from Perplexity CEO. Knew the move would be great for proximity but wow.

@SherryYanJiang I like it too! What’s the ONE thing GPT-5 does better than the other model you’ve used… and what’s the ONE thing that still drives you nuts? I created the image below quickly on GPT-5 😁

If you’re someone who can be disciplined and pay off your balance every month, it’s a no brainer to use credit cards for virtually every purchase. I honestly can’t even remember the last time I used my debit card.

Throwback Thursday 💾🖥️ Back when upgrading your OS meant heading to Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples, Office Max, or Office Depot for a shiny CD or DVD box! 😅 Who remembers installing Windows Vista and praying the drivers worked?
