We have a system that rewards losing Teams like Miramonte, Las Lomas, Northgate, Ukiah would have been better off losing games so they would have a chance to win NCS Even crazier we will have at least three teams from D4 who will go to NorCal Completely broken

D1: two Ebal schools D2: two D4 powerhouses D3: two teams that finished 4th in league D4: two teams that had losing records in regular season “Competitive equity” just punishes smaller D2/d3 schools for having good seasons @joseph_dycus @DarrenSabedra @KasselMedia

Hear this argument a lot with competitive equity. Punishes winning and rewards losing. I’ll be curious to see how this plays out in soccer and hoops compared to football. This new format will have a different impact on every sport it seems.

NCS is a sham. Rewarding teams for losing by dropping them to lower divisions. DAL, MCAL, NBL teams wouldn’t do any better than Dublin, Granada, Foothill in the EBAL but are forced to play up and given no chance for a section title. @DarrenSabedra @JustGusPD @joseph_dycus

@KasselMedia @JustGusPD At the end of the day Carondelet, SRV and Monte Vista have won every D1 title since 2003 except for 3 How moving teams up from other divisions to lose to those 3 is “competitive equity” makes no sense At least add an open division

@JustGusPD San Diego also uses common sense and moves teams up and down based on h2h and common opponent records

@JustGusPD More to do with the fact we have no idea how maxpreps does rankings Should do it like San Diego where you know exactly how many points you get for a win, loss or tie vs a certain opponent based on their division and record Everyone would have insight into the rankings
