@trafalgartoru Everyone's compulsion can manifest a bit differently. Mine is/was avoidance among a few others. So if I stop posting or showing up like I used to because I'm scared (of what others will say or that I'm doing wrong or I'm a bad person or harming etc.) I'm doing the compulsion.

@floofadootz @Yas_per Pocd is a fear of becoming one, feeling uncertain if you are or aren't. Thinking you'll lose all your support if true and be isolated forever increases the likelihood they'll commit suicide.

This kind of sentiment gets kids and teens with POCD killed btw

And donating to and supporting child friendly platforms and encouraging minors to go to and use those more and letting them know about what is already available to them.

I've suggested it before but, for anyone concerned about what pops up on Google why don't you just get a group together and spend time reporting any nsfw that pops up when safe search is on and encourage minors to use safe search as Internet safety.

Encouraging minors to care about internet safety and using safe search is something you could do and/or spending free time scrolling the pages reporting nsfw that slips through if you're concerned

people just DO NOT understand how easy it is for a kid to come across NSFW/suggestive material since i come from cartoontwt i can tell for a FACT that greedy ass horny adults invade children's spaces all the time and just DO NOT CARE

A lot of ppl just found out that sometimes mental health disabilities can disgust you, cannot make sense to you, or might even make someone feel a way you find reprehensible. But they are human beings who deserve support. You cant criminalize someone for disgusting you.

I have a few guesses: 1. They’re attracted to our childlike demeanor/personalities and they assume we’re naive or stupid. 2. We trust words first, and pattern recognition actually takes time to develop, so we don’t notice the red flags immediately. 3. Fawning is often our baseline in dangerous situations which makes it easier to create trauma bonds and coerce victims. 4. We don’t notice when someone safe is interested in us, because social cues don’t really process in our brain the same way, and we view flirtation as them just being kind. And typically that’s why people think us being kind, is flirtation. Which makes Lovebombing typically the only time when we can recognitive when someone is interested because it’s over the top and undeniable interest. 5. Mirroring for us is a way to connect with and understand people better. Mirroring for them is a way to manipulate and gain fast access so we can drop our defenses. So what we think is a genuine connection, is really an unsafe manipulation occurring. 6. Our brains don’t develop fully until 30-31. So there’s just a lot that we don’t understand, and we still move through the world like an innocent child, projecting our safeness and pure intentions onto anyone who seems kind at first. I do think overtime though, we do eventually learn the patterns and tactics of these types of predators, and we learn how to trust when our body is signaling that it’s unsafe, instead of relying on the logical idea that “they said they’re safe so they must be safe”.
