Star Wars is inspired by like 0-3% of Dune and would still exist without Dune. If we are powerscaling cultural impact, there is no argument. Darth Vader’s breathing alone mogs any iconography from Dune. Lets be serious

He used the funds of Count to build an army and then exploited the political system outside of the Jedi. Hr gunned them down lol.

@MaceAhWindu I just think it’s an entirely poorly formed theme within the movies. Analysis of what’s on screen tells us that the Jedi died because of a 15 year long plot to start a war and build an army that is mind controlled to gun the jedi down.
