Do you think that he will leave Champions League tournaments to come and play for Chelsea? This is a matter of being realistic. The only way he can leave Aston Villa to come to Chelsea next is if he has a genuine love for Chelsea. If he chooses to play Champions League football then he is not going to come to Chelsea, simple as that. It's not a matter of buying mid players, it's a matter of buying good players that are ready to take the club forward and Chelsea are not in a position to buy first-class players right now.

You're happy to lose out on a top player who can play across the front 3, is an England international, EPL/UCL experience, like Chelsea are spolied with choices for top level players.
