Three big-name coaches did (Grant, Granite Bay, Faith Christian) and one was terminated for being “the wrong fit” despite leading a powerhouse

Less talking about big wins for the WNBA PA
-12 player roster with 2 developmental spots.
-pay out for retired past players
-no trade clause for pregnant players
-injury salary/ roster exceptions.
-bonus’ for award winners.
Also getting the cap up to 7 million this year can’t be understated, normally salary cap is determined by the previous season B-ball related revenue.
The fact the players essentially got an advanced pay out is pretty impressive.

Good coaches are hard to come by at the high school level, especially at a small school. So it’s always a head scratcher when schools ask good coaches to step down.

Sacramento Adventist Athletic Director Cyrus Jones asked me to step down today as girls basketball head coach. I did not agree to do so as I am committed to the players and program. AD Jones then terminated me saying I was not a good fit. It was an honor to coach these girls.

“Not a good fit”
That’s ludicrous. Coach Tedmon saved a program that was on the brink of absolute collapse amid turmoil at midseason just over a year ago and led the Capitals to back-to-back CIF section finals.
He provided stellar leadership, and the school did not today.
