MD loses $2 BILLION if Congress doesn't pass the #BIPARTISAN disaster relief package. We had a deal that's now threatened thanks to the dangerous demands of an unelected multibillionaire who doesn’t have to worry what happens to his home if disaster strikes. Let’s pass this NOW.

Also worth highlighting: our stop-gap funding bill includes reimbursement for the victims of SNAP theft thru Sept ‘28 - a huge win that required some grit. Reimbursement (set to expire w/o action) has helped more than 300k victimized households this year alone.

Thrilled (and relieved) to hear our short-term funding bill will cover the cost of the Key Bridge, which was absolutely nonnegotiable for those of us who represent the people and businesses whose lives have been upended since its collapse. Team Maryland was heard.

This award means the world to me, especially as I approach my retirement. National security has been my priority since I came to Congress in 2003, and it has been an honor to support our Army, its soldiers and their families every year since.
