@sarahpeathatsme I will probably get crucified for this, but i use a little bit of soap on mine after i'm done with it to clean it. Then I season it with oil. You can also clean it with a chain mail cloth. I still cook with cast iron, part of my PA Dutch side that i'll probably carry forever.

@Calliecakez Yes! Like “oh it has this layer on it that’s the seasoning of the pan, don’t ever use soap on it” no thanks.

If it’s “supposed to feel like that” when it’s “clean” cast iron is not for me.
