I just feel like this was a ridiculous situation. It was a long weekend and a major holiday. What's the point in making him get on a plane to go back to Dallas just to get back on a plane (if there were even flights available) to fly back to the city they were already in?
I understand that he was in the doghouse and already on his way out this off-season but I feel like the human element here should have prevailed.

Regarding the “Trevon Diggs stayed in D.C. issue”:
He requested to stay in DC to Brian Schottenheimer after the game. It was not granted. (Of note: Teams only have about an hour to get out of the stadium after away games. Every second counts.)
“We fly out as a team. We fly back as a team.” - one team source said.
Diggs refused to get on the plane and stayed back.
